It was a normal, Nickelodeon type of day, when I first discovered the errors in the making of the world of Bikini Bottom. As I watched Spongebob carry his square little himself inside, I observed the spirals on his pineapple home. It somehow seemed off to me, so I looked a little bit closer. Upon this inspection I realized that the spirals in his pineapple were in fact a mathematical impossibility. You see, there are three types of spirals that can be made around a pineapple: left, right, and almost straight up. However, Spongebob's pineapple defies this rule by having lines that go merely straight up. This is not only impractical, but it is mathematically impossible. A shape such as a pineapple cannot be drawn with bilateral symmetry, as the Nickelodeon producers were clearly misled to believe.
