I looked down at one of my favorite bracelets, made out of plastic beads, and thought how they could organized to create mathematical structures. Following the picture, each loop has 7 beads, I discovered that I was creating a hyperbolic plane.
But when to stop? My first try, I ran out of beads. I bought more beads and was on a role when the beads became squished, but ultimately this goes on for infinity! And believe me, that's a pretty long time. Once you get the hang of it, there are more possibilities to creating your hyperbolic plane. You could make a straight line to make a necklace or larger "flower" looking shapes. Whatever you do, have fun!
